Candidates rest ahead of Sunday's elections
The principal candidates in this weekend’s presidential election rested today with family members and met with advisors to adjust final details for tomorrow’s elections.
In Río Gallegos, birthplace of Néstor Kirchner, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner visited the cemetery where her ex-husband was buried, accompanied by presidential doctor Luis Buonomo.
After a prolonged visit, the head of State returned to her residence located in Barrio Jardín, later lunching at her son’s house alongside Social Development Minister Alicia Kirchner, her daughter Natalia Mercado and María Virginia García.
Meanwhile, candidate for Frente Amplio Progresista, Hermes Binner lunched with his family in Santa Fe, where he went to head his final campaign event on Thursday.
Radical candidate Ricardo Alfonsín spent time in Chascomús, where he will vote on Sunday first thing before returning to the Capital.
Civic Coalition candidate, Elisa Carrió, had breakfast in a downtown café where she received greetings from and spoke with neighbours of the area, later spending the rest of the day at Buenos Aires senator candidate, Amelia Lacerca’s house.
