The cooling of the Brazilian economy that is beginning to show a slight slowdown index is the main concern of Argentine businessmen, but according to former Economy Minister Miguel Peirano there is still no real effect in Argentina, although he made clear that “this doesn’t mean that 2012 comes with a different scenario, a year that will have more uncertainty than the current one.”
During a break of the 47 Idea Colloquium held at the Sheraton Hotel in Mar del Plata city, the ex minister assured that there is a scenario that shows that the “situation of the global crisis will aggravate,” although he stated that “Argentina has a margin” to face this.
Peirano also said that “if Argentina reduces its capital outflow or the formation of external assets, it has a very important level of freedom to compensate the eventual effects of the trade balance.”
