'Austerity will be key in 2012,' Arlía says

Buenos Aires province Economy Minister Alejandro Arlia said that the district “is getting ready for a 2012 in which austerity will be evident,” while visiting Ambito de debate TV show, Arlía also predicted that the President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s administration will have the strongest political power seen since Juan Domingo Perón.

“We have to manage inflationary expectations; Argentine economy will grow in 2012, but not in the same level of 2011, and the budget foresees that. But we have the right macroeconomic conditions to face the crisis,” he added.

 Regarding the October 23rd presidential elections, Arlía was confident in the fact that the Fernández de Kirchner-Boudou ticket will gather 55 percent of votes and thus 'have the strongest political power seen since Juan Domingo Perón."
