New clashes between the Chilean police, students as tensions escalate
This is 37th manifestation in less the two months in Santiago.
Students and police clashed in another turbulent day at the Chilean Capital. Police threw tear gas and water cannons at crowd as local television stations images showed.
Students gathered at the iconic Plaza Italia for another march to demand Educational reforms to be carried out in the country. This is 37th manifestation in less the two months in Santiago.
Government had authorized the march, but students allegedly didn’t stick to the itinerary proposed by local authorities deviating to the University , through the Alameda zone towards the presidential palace La Moneda.
