‘Aballay,’ Argentina’s candidate for the Oscars
The Argentine western “Aballay, el hombre sin miedo” (Aballay, the man without fear), directed by Fernando Spiner, was chosen by the Argentine Film and AudioVisual Arts Academy as the national candidate to run for the nomination of the Oscars’ “Best Foreign Film.”
“Aballay” is based in a story written by Antonio Di Benedetto and was starred by Pablo Cedrón, Nazareno Casero, Claudio Rissi and Moro Anghileri, among others.
