Two people arrested at Ezeiza Int'l Airport after cocaine bust
Two employees in a firm employed by the Ezeiza International Airport were detained on Thursday after they loaded two bags containing 40 kilos of cocaine on a flight bound for South Africa.
Both suspects are employed by Intercargo and the arrest was conducted by the officials from the Airport Security Police (PSA).
According to sources within the force, both suspects were seen entering one of the runways and loading the drug on a plane after they managed the elude security controls. The plane in which they intended to hide the drug was bound to the city of Johannesburg and belongs to the South African Airways airline.
Earlier, PSA agents had detected that the tags on both bags indicated the identity of a person who was not present on the flight manifest.
The seized drug and the suspects are now in custody.
