Senate fails to muster quorum due to an absent Victory Front
The Upper House did not manage to gather quorum on Wednesday after the Victory Front caucus decided not to enter the Senate floor, since they “had failed to agree on the matters they would discuss with the opposition,” Miguel Angel Pichetto said.
The ruling party and the opposition collided when the head of the UCR caucus Gerardo Morales, insisted on introducing a Jujuy housing emergency bill on the floor.
“This bill has not been cleared for debate, we didn’t discuss it in a committee and doesn’t have what is necessary in order to be discussed today,” said Pichetto, the leader of the Victory Front caucus.
