Chile's industrial output rises 2,4% in August, say businessmen
Industrial production has risen 2,4% last month if compared to the same period the previous year, Chilean businessmen said today. Overall sales also increased by 2,0% as internal sales rose 1,8%, informed industrial sector sources.
August had 22 working days, the same amount as August 2010, said the document published by the Textile Industry Society (Sofofa).
With those results, Chilean industrial production – on the year’s first eight months – is still 7,1% under lower than top numbers sustained before the world’s financial recession, but 8,4% higher than 2010’s January through August numbers.
