BID to grant new loan for Argentina
The Inter-American Development Bank (BID) announced a loan of 230 million dollars to contribute with the development of the regional rural economy, except the Pampeana area.
The plan, which is expected to benefit 17,000 agrarian producers and almost half a million rural citizens, is destined to help these regions to improve their productivity, competitiveness and increase their exports.
The BID might also assist the areas that were affected by the ashes of the Puyehue volcano.
With this new loan, the total amount given by the BID to support Argentina’s Provincial Agrarian Service Programme (PROSAP) reaches 755 million dollars, the regional finance organization stated in a communiqué.
