Congress passes Argentina's bid to join other nations in creation of Bank of the South
The Argentine Congress in downtown Buenos Aires.
Lawmakers in the Lower House passed the bill that supports the National Government’s bid to join other regional countries in the creation of the Bank of the South (Banco del Sur).
The bill, which had been preliminary approved on the Senate floor, was passed swiftly, without lawmakers engaging in debate. It was passed by 210 votes in favour and 6 abstentions.
