Buenos Aires stocks move down

Buenos Aires stocks showed negativity, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging down by 1.9 percent, to 2,872.11 points, due to the negative affects coming from external markets.

Argentina's country-risk rose by 3.3% to 782 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The American currency trades for AR$4.20/AR$4.24, gained half a cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
