Buenos Aires stocks slightly lower

Buenos Aires stocks were slightly lower, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging down by 1.3 percent, to 2,927.09 points. Argentina's country-risk rose by 0.4% to 741 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The American currency traded for AR$4.185/AR$4.235, increased one cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
