Buenos Aires stocks edge down

Buenos Aires stocks dropped slightly, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging down by 1.5 percent, to 2,865.76 points. Argentina's country-risk rose to 0.3% to 748 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The American currency traded for AR$4.17/AR$4.21, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
