Internacional beat Independiente, win Supercup

Independiente failed on their attempt to clinch the club's 17th international trophy as they lost 1-3 to Internacional de Porto Alegre in the second leg of the South American Supercup's final.
Leandro Damiao opened the score at minute 19 and added one more at minute 24. Independiente gained some hope after Maximiliano Velázquez scored at the beginning of the second half (49'), but Kleber closed the deal after scoring the final 3-1 at minute 83.
The game was held at the Beira-Río of Porto Alegre stadium. The Argentine team had won 2-1 the first leg played on August 10 in Avellaneda.
