Merval edges up

Buenos Aires stocks showed positivity, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging up by 0.9 percent, to 2,928.56 points. Argentina's country-risk fell by 4.3% to 730 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The US dollar traded for US$ 4.165/4.21, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
