Freezing temperatures hit the nation

SMN announced a polar front with below zero temperatures in most of the Argentina territory.

A polar front swept across the country as freezing temperatures hit most of the countries’ provinces, informed the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

Buenos Aires experienced lows of 2.3° Celsius, while several parts of Buenos Aires province and across the country temperatures were below zero.

The outlook was foreseen to improve as the SMN announced “northwesterly winds will disperse the polar front giving space to sunny skies and improved weather conditions,” said a spokesman for the forecasting service, who predicted temperatures to reach between 8° and 15° Celsius.

By Thursday, conditions will remain quite the same with a minimum temperature of 9° and a max of 14° Celsius. On Friday, chill winds are to strike back hitting low temperatures between 5° and 13° Celsius.
