Altamira: 'We've reached our aim, dedicates it to Mariano Ferreyra'
Presidential pre-candidate for the Leftist Front party (FIT) Jorge Altamira affirmed that his bloc has exceeded the minimum vote requirement of 1.5 percent that allows him to participate in October’s election, and dedicated it to the “memory of Mariano Ferreyra, who was the one who boosted this result.”
In a press conference held at the headquarters of the Workers’ party (PO), at Monserrat neighbourhood in Buenos Aires City, Altamira assured that the final results will leave the FIT in a good place, with 4 percent of the votes, and anticipated that, according to his own data, his provincial lists have “reached 12 percent in Salta and the candidate of Córdoba’s Governor-elect candidate.”
The pre-candidate referred to Ferreyra, the activist of PO who was killed by a union’s gang in Barracas, by saying that his memory has “boosted this result, because he guided us during the whole campaign and gave us more energy in this electoral process.”
