BA province Cabinet Chief announces 'overwhelming victory'
Buenos Aires province Cabinet Chief Alberto Pérez told the press that the first results of the primary elections show an “overwhelming victory of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her vice-presidential candidate Amado Boudou, and of Governorr Daniel Scioli and Gabriel Mariotto in the province.”
Pérez also praised the primary elections by saying that “they show an advance of democracy.”
The province’s Cabinet Chief remarked that Governor Daniel Scioli is already “planning next week’s administration agenda, because we have to redouble our efforts after the support shown by the people in this election.”
“The results show that the since 2003 this political plan provided the Argentine population with answers, and since 2007, Scioli has responded to the issues of the citizens,” he continued.
Pérez also announced that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has already called Scioli to congratulate him, and that gubernatorial candidate Mario Ishii has called him too.
