Argentina reach U20 World Cup's quarter-finals
Argentina’s U20 national football team reached the quarter-finals of Colombia’s World Cup after defeating Egypt 2-1 in the game held at Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín City.
The goals of the team coached by Walter Perazzo were netted by Erik Lamela after two penalty kicks at 42’ and 57’, while Mohamed Salah scored Egypt’s only goal in a penalty at 70’.
Argentina, who headed the Group F unbeaten, will now face Portugal (who defeated Guatemala in the pre-quarter finals 1-0) at the Jaime Morón León stadium in Cartagena on Saturday at 7pm.
