De la Sota avoids telling whether he will support CFK or not ahead of primaries

Córdoba governor-elect José Manuel De la Sota.

Córdoba governor-elect José Manuel De la Sota continued to cast a shroud of mystery regarding whether the provincial branch of the Justicialist Party will support President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner or not in the August 14th. primaries.

“The party will hold a meeting tomorrow. I believe we are in a disadvantage because we don’t have a presidential candidate, and next Sunday we’re dealing with the presidential and congressional primaries,” he explained before stating his personal choice.

“The lawmakers on our ballot lists are the ones defending Córdoba. I don’t know what the party is going to decide, but I believe they will continue to support them, even though we don’t have a presidential candidate,” De la Sota said.

The governon-elect insisted that after his victory, and repeated that “Cordobism” had been born yesterday.

“Cordobism is an idea that rests above party differences and the ferocious bickering among its leaders,” he explained, adding that “besides needing a strong country, we also need strong provinces,” for which he asked the citizens to “respect plurality.”

The relationship between the Kirchnerites and the Córdoba official has always been complicated.

In fact, De la Sota clashed first with Néstor Kirchner and later with Cristina Fernández de Kirchner since 2003 and during both their presidencies.
