Buenos Aires shares sink 10.7 %
The Merval benchmark stock index plummeted 10.73 percent to 2,758.43 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk edged up by 7.9 percent to 744 basis points.
The US dollar traded for AR$4.14/AR$4.185, gained one cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
