'We didn't get the votes we hoped for' Luis Juez says as he acknowledges defeat
Córdoba gubernatorial candidate Luis Juez acknowledged defeat in the provincial elections and said his party “will begin working on the 2015” election campaign tomorrow.
“Just like four years ago we shed tears after being victims of election fraud, today we have lost and there is a clear winner that is not us,” he said on stage inside his campaign headquarters.
“Today we can see there’s a true winner. Let’s hope they keep their promises, because we’ll be there to remind them of them,” the senator warned.
Minutes after 10:30 pm, Juez admitted that the election result “was not what they hoped for,” and said that “a real man acknowledges defeat.”
“We will keep working. Today the electorate didn’t accompany us, we didn’t get the result we hoped for, but fact remains that we’re decent, honourable people. When there was fraud, there was fraud. When we lost, we lost,” he concluded.
