Milito returns to Independiente
Defender Gabriel Milito left Barcelona football club a year earlier and returned to first club, Independiente, the club from Avellaneda reported.
"I took the decision because I felt a great need to return to my country and Independiente," said the 30-year-old centre back, who remained in Buenos Aires after the Copa América.
Milito will return to the club where he began his career, after playing for eight seasons in the Spaniard League, first in Zaragoza and then in Barça, where the coach Pep Guardiola could not assure he could remain in the main team.
The contract was signed at the club’s headquarters, where Milito has been officially presented.
Milito, brother of Inter’s Diego Milito, played for the first time in 1997 in the top division of the Argentine football and has been part of the Argentine national football team for several times, including the Copa América 2011.
