Grease star Annette Charles dies at 63
Annette Charles played Cha Cha in "Grease."
Actress Annette Charles died last night at her residence in Los Angeles, California at 63 years old. She played Cha Cha Di Gregorio in the musical “Grease” (1978).
The celebrity website TMZ.com reported that the actress died of lung cancer.
“Annette had recently had problems breathing and when she went to the doctor they told her it was cancer,” a member of her family said.
The actress starred in series as "The High Chaparral" (1968), "Gunsmoke" (1970), "Bonanza" (1972), "Emergency!" (1972), "The Bionic Woman" (1976) and "Man from Atlantis" (1977).
In 1978 she played Cha Cha, the girlfriend of Leo, the leader of The Scorpions in “Grease,” the film of Randal Kleiser starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
