CFK, Rousseff call for further regional integration

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner arrived in Brasilia last night from Lima, and was holding a meeting with her Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff. She is scheduled to inaugurate the seat of the new Argentine Embassy.

Diplomatic sources said that following the “private work meeting”, both presidents plan to sign a joint statement ratifying the Mechanism of Bilateral Integration and Cooperation.

Dilma Rousseff will later play host to Cristina at a luncheon where both plan to deliver speeches.

This afternoon Cristina will head the inauguration ceremony of the new Argentine Embassy at Brasilia.
