Proyecto Sur ratifies will not support neither Macri nor Filmus on Sunday elections
The Proyecto Sur party, led by Fernando “Pino” Solanas, ratified that its supporters are “free to vote for whoever they see fit” on the City mayoral elections this Sunday, adding that the party “would not support neither Mauricio Macri nor Daniel Filmus.
Solanas also said that the recent judicial decision to make parties distribute their own ballots in the Buenos Aires province is “fraud.”
“Unfortunately, Proyecto Sur already believes that the election was won on the first round,” City lawmaker Julio Raffo said during a press conference.
Proyecto Sur officials came out to express their stance after one of their lawmakers, Rafael Gentili, openly expressed his support for Daniel Filmus.
“There have been some members and leaders within the party who have misinterpreted the freedom to choose any of the candidates in the second round,” Raffo said.
He assured that such freedom “must be exercised at the polling station and not as a political expression.”
“We believe that unfortunately the election result cannot be changed,” Raffo concluded.
