‘Duhalde’s accusations regarding primary elections are baseless,’ Randazzo assures
Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo assured that the National Government “remains committed to hold the primary elections” on August 14th, assuring that former president Eduardo Duhalde’s accusations were “baseless.”
After earlier accusations in which Duhalde accused the National Government of pressuring the justice system in order to call off the primary elections, scheduled to take place on August 14th, Randazzo assured that the Government “remains committed to hold the elections on that day.”
“Duhalde is a liar and is being irresponsible,” he said, and accused those political sectors who started the rumour of “being afraid of the people’s participation.”
Earlier, Union Popular presidential candidate Eduardo Duhalde accused the National Government of “applying pressure on judges” in order to call off the primary elections scheduled to take place on August 14th.
“It has come to my attention that the justice system is under a lot of pressure by the National Government, who is looking to call off these elections,” he assured.
The former president said he felt “compelled to warn about the situation,” which he found out about from a direct source.
