Merval slightly lower
The Merval benchmark stock index opened slightly lower, dropping by 0.3 percent to 3,356.35 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 0.34% to 591 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The American currency traded for AR$4.165/AR$4.12, gained half a cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
