Storms, hail alert lifted

Nacional Meteorological Service (SMN) lifted an alert for heavy rain, storms and hails for today, after porteños saw the day turn into night as heavy cloud formations hovered over the city this afternoon.

Authorities had released the warning for most of the metropolitan area, north of the state, Entre Ríos province, south and center Santa Fe province and La Plata River. In a public statement, the SMN warned a “humid air mass covers the region. A cold front approaches possibly causing storms, some of them potentially locally strong.”
