CFK blasts credit rating agencies: 'let's quit being fools'
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner blasted credit rating agencies by comparing the way they rated Argentina with their current international opinions and urged Argentines “not to be fools any longer.” The Head of State added that “media outlets kept rating and now want to eliminate them because they aren’t convenient."
“When they rated us, everything was fine, but now that they are being rated, they want to eliminate credit rating agencies. This is something we share with European powers, we have been seen that first," she continued.
"Let's not be fools any longer. The foolish things that media outlets and men that have knowledge of global economy. They said ‘look at what Moody says of us, at what Fitch says of us, we have to be serious like they are.’ And now, ‘serious people’ want to eliminate credit rating agencies.”
The President stated "are they wrong in their stance of wanting to eliminate credit rating agencies? No. They act like fools. The trouble are some foolish people who want to represent interests."
