Gov't assures Filmus will face runoff
Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo affirmed that the Kirchnerite candidate for Buenos Aires City Mayor Daniel Filmus “will not withdraw from the run-off election” and called to work “so that the city definitely includes all the benefits” of the model of the National Government.
“The Victory Front had a very good election and we are getting prepared to the run-off and we expect to win the City,” Randazzo said.
The minister added that Filmus and his Deputy-Mayor candidate Carlos Tomada, counts with “all the support” and believes “they can win.”
“We are convinced that it would be very positive for Buenos Aires City to have a Mayor as Filmus,” he continued.
The run-off election will be held on July 31 between Filmus and the current City Mayor and candidate for reelection, Mauricio Macri.
