Estenssoro assures CC 'is ready to govern BA City'
Buenos Aires City mayoral candidate for the Civic Coalition party, María Eugenia Estenssoro, assured that she is ready to govern the city, adding that it is the first time that her party runs with its own candidate in the city.
The candidate for Elisa Carrió’s political party said she is “very happy” because this is the first time that the CC “presents its own bid to govern the city” in a mayoral election.
“We are ready for this and we are sure that the population has already received that message,” she continued.
Estenssoro called on all porteños to "vote with hope, idealism, and avoid cynicism because we must end this cynical society. We have to vote to support our best ideals,” the candidate explained after she voted at the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento 2 school located in the Retiro neighbourhood.
Referring to the possibility that the city’s mayor will be defined in a run-off election, the candidate rejected the notion that election is polarized.
"On one end we have Mauricio Macri and in the other hand we have Daniel Filmus, but the porteños are very independent and will not make a decision until the last minute," she said.
