Alfonsín announces proposal of affordable homes scheme for young people
During a rally, Radical presidential candidate Ricardo Alfonsín announced his proposal of a financing scheme that would help young people afford a property.
During his brief speech, the Radical lawmaker assured that if he was elected president next October “he would take the necessary measures in order to bring credit back to Argentina,” because he believes “currently there is no credit available for people who want to buy a home.”
Joined by his running mate, economist Javier González Fraga, Alfonsín explained that the plan is aimed at helping “young people who are either single, about to marry or who want to live together.”
His proposal includes 150,000 annual credits in order to buy homes with an average value of US$50,000, which would be paid in the next 30 to 35 years.
