Molotov bomb explodes outside BA City Gov't building

A Molotov bomb exploded this morning outside the door of the downtown Buenos Aires City Government building, officials informed. Police officers informed that three men have been arrested.

“The attack took place at 2.30 am this morning, when three unmasked individuals threw a Molotov bomb at the door of the City Government building on Avenida de Mayo at 525,” police officials informed.

They indicated that the door affected by the explosion “is now being repaired” after it had “caught fire,” which firefighters quickly put out, to prevent the fire spreading to the rest of the building.

“The three men ran off after throwing the bomb. A team of local police followed them and finally caught them along Piedras street,” a source informed.

The men remain in custody, where they will be questioned by police.
