Recalde predicts inflation will go down 'once CFK is reelected'

National Lawmaker Héctor Recalde.

Kirchnerite lawmaker and CGT legal advisor Héctor Recalde warned that there is “an unreasonable price hike of the basic food basket” in the country, but assured that the situation will stop “once President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is reelected.”

“There’s no doubt that there’s a price hike on the basic food market. And there are also those who control and set oligopolic prices that should try to be more reasonable and avoid these hikes that affect the poorest sectors,” he stated.

Recalde also said that “Argentines are currently going through an unreasonable price hike of the basic food basket.” He added, however, that such phenomenon “can be stopped, and it will be stopped once President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is reelected on October 23rd.”

The lawmaker also stressed that “by the end of 2009 and early 2010, not a single collective bargaining had taken place, and food prices went up anyway.”
