Pro-government members support Boudou's candidacy
After the official announcement of Amado Boudou as the candidate for vice-president of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, members of the pro-government party confirmed their support to the presidential bid.
The head of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo organization, Hebe de Bonafini, assured she is “very happy with the decision, because Amado is a great person.”
Picketer leader Luis D’Elia assured that the designation of the Economy Minister as the running mate of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was a clear message for the head of the CGT Labour Confederation, Hugo Moyano.
D’Elia also highlighted the youth and loyalty of the new candidate for vice-president. “It is a huge bridge with the new generation,” he continued.
After the rally, national lawmaker Agustín Rossi considered that Boudou “has to do with the country’s growth of the last years.”
“It was a great election. It’s clear that we’ve had an experience that we don’t want to repeat,” Rossi said referring to the current Vice-President Julio Cobos, who has faced the government during the conflict with the agriculture sector.
