Mariotto to be Scioli’s running mate for BA province

The head of the Federal Authority of Audiovisual Communication Services (AFSCA), Gabriel Mariotto, confirmed this morning that he will be Buenos Aires Province Governor Daniel Scioli’s running mate, and assured that it was Scioli who put him up for the role.

“The governor offered me the role, and I accepted with great pride,” said Mariotto, whom at the same time went against those who suggested that his candidacy for vice-governor in the province was proposed by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Referring to these suggestions, Scioli spoke out from the Government House and said that they had to do with “press who try to push contradictory pieces of news.”

Mariotto mentioned that “the same thing happened when Alberto Balestrini was designated vice-governor.”
