Fiscal surplus reaches $3.14B

Economy Minister Amado Boudou reported that the fiscal surplus grew 4.2 percent and totalled 3.140 billion pesos in May year-on-year, and that the financial result in the National Public Sector’s accounts reached 1.879 billion pesos.

The minister stated in a communiqué that the final result has been achieved without leaving aside the application of “active economic policies that helped us stay in the path of labour and production development in the last eight years.”

The total incomes accumulated an increase of 46.404 billion pesos, while the primary expenditures soared to 43.264 billion pesos.
