Police clash with River's hooligans in front of the Monumental
Tension mounted as River Plate’s hooligans clashed with the police during a demonstration in which fans protested against the critical situation the club is going through.
The police sent hydrant trucks to control almost a thousand fans that gathered in front of the Monumental stadium to show their support to their team and claim for the resignation of the president of the club, Daniel Passarella.
At first, the fans were calmed, but then the incidents and the violence began and the police had to intervene to control the situation.
