Carrió to CFK: 'Stop mourning, start debating Argentina's future'

Civic Coalition leader, Elisa Carrió.

Civic Coalition (CC) leader, Elisa Carrió, reaffirmed her criticisms over President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's announcement in which she confirmed she will seek reelection in October. Carrió blasted the head of State by telling her to “stop her mourning and come forward to debate Argentina's future.”

“Do stop crying dear President. One should not promote political propaganda through widowhood. Stop mourning and sit down to debate our country’s future,” said Carrió, furthering, “if not we will have to be thicker skinned”.

She went on to say, “I would have liked it to have been another person, not a liar like Néstor Kirchner.”
