Gov't grants another 5 million pesos to help ash-affected Neuquén
Ash-stricken Villa La Angostura is currently on red alert due to the ash fall produced by the Chilean volcano.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner sent 5 million more pesos to the province of Neuquén on Saturday, to assist the clearing of the volcano ash remains produced by the Chilean Puyehue volcano, which have engulfed the southern province in previous weeks.
Special attention will be paid to the hard-hit area of Villa La Angostura, which was declared a disaster zone this week, official sources informed.
The President communicated her announcement to “Governor Jorge Sapag, before leaving Río Gallegos this morning,” officials informed.
On Friday, the government sent thirty more trucks down to the province providing help and provisions for those affected by the ash fall.
