Garré assures 'more police officers will patrol the streets'
Security Minister Nilda Garré disclosed yesterday that the Security Forces are to have “more civil staff working in the administrative sector, to enable greater amounts of police officers to concentrate their time on patrolling the streets.”
Garré made the statement during a talk over City Security in the Centre for Legal, Cultural, Economic and Social Studies (CELCES), where she also highlighted the importance of “raising the quality of education in Security Forces’ schools, to be able to achieve excellence and widen the curriculum”.
She also went on to say that various agreements have been signed within her department, “to enable the incorporation of GPS systems and video cameras in police vans,” and she also underlined that “they are working to be able to amplify the 911 service, to widen their area of reach”.
