Boudou predicts agreement with Paris Club before year's end
Economy Minister Amado Boudou.
Economy Minister Amado Boudou said he was “convinced” that before President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ends her mandate, Argentina would reach “an acceptable agreement” with the Paris Club. He also expressed he wishes Fernández de Kirchner will decide to seek reelection.
"We have to wait for some negotiating terms that both the creditors and Argentina will find acceptable," he said, as he admitted that this task "took a lot of effort."
The Economy Minister discussed the issues while being interviewed on Ambito Financiero's television programme, 'Ambito de debate'.
Regarding inflation, he acknowledged that current prices “are not adequate for the correct functioning of the Argentine economy,” although at the same time he criticized the opposition. “Their ‘Congress Index,’ in which they assured that inflation in May had reached 1.5 percent, was an embarrassment,” he blasted.

“This damages the image of our institutions,” Boudou assured.
