Police raids Pablo Schoklender’s offices
Officers in the Federal Investigations Division of Criminal Organizations (DIFOC), led by Police Chief Néstor Roncaglia, raided one of Pablo Schoklender’s offices in the Congreso area this afternoon, in connection to alleged accusations of money laundering activities in the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo organization.
According to official sources in the area, the police operative took place on the third floor of a building located on 1534 Hipólito Yrigoyen, in the city of Buenos Aires.
The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo organization is located a few metres away from the building, on Yrigoyen 1584.
According to several sources, the raid answered to a request made by the Madres of Plaza de Mayo due to the presumption that there could be important evidence in connection to the probe.
“Judge Oyarbide is doing the right work, he is doing what he can, “ Bonafini said. “There’s no perfect crime, traces are always left behind., that prove that they stole.”
Bonafini added that she has “no problem with being investigated” and that she is“ready to face Justice.”
The case is being kept under nondisclosure order and whether the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo can act as prosecutors is yet to be determined. On Monday, Bonafini denounced Sergio Schoklender of having stolen documents belonging to the Madres of Plaza de Mayo Foundation. Bonafini made the formal accusation before Judge Norberto Oyarbide, and also requested act as plaintiff on the case that investigates Schoklender for alleged fraudulent administration.
“I´m sure we will be able to achieve what we want, and that those responsible who to jail for ever,” de Bonafini told reporters.
