Alfonsín blasts GEN, PS: 'No one has the right to demand demonstrations of progressism'
Radical Party’s presidential candidate Raúl Alfonsín strongly defended his alliance with Francisco De Narváez, questioned the GEN bloc and the Socialist Party, and said that “no one has the right” to “demand a demonstration of progressism.”
During the opening of the Convention of the UCR in Buenos Aires province, Alfonsín assured that Hermes Binner and Margarita Stolbizer “give up to express what they believe it’s positive for the country because they are afraid of paying th costs.”
He also requested both of them to “judge by the same yardstick” the accord with De Narváez compared to other electoral strategies, as the one applied in 2009 in Buenos Aires by Binner and Stolbizer, when they proposed the agrarian leader, Mario Llambías, as part of the GEN lawmaker’s list.
“No one has the right to demand me progresism demonstrations. My experience and my formation show that I’m coherent with the Radical values. I want to be president if I have to do things I don’t believe they should be done.”
