Merval edges down
The panel of leading stocks index decreased by 0.1 percent, to 3,227.77 points, but accumulated a 2 percent increased during the week.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk gained 0.2 percent to 589 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for AR$4.125/AR$4.08, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureau de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The Brazilian Bovespa dropped 1.2 percent to 62,697 points.
