Boudou comes out in defence of Bonafini amidst Schoklender scandal
Mothers of Plaza de Mayo leader Hebe de Bonafini and Economy Minister Amado Boudou
Amidst the scandal surrounding former lawyer for Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Sergio Schoklender, Economy Minister Amado Boudou backed the human rights group's leader Hebe de Bonafini and stated that "the more silly things are said, the more we have to side with the Mothers,".
“Hebe is part of the people that we want to be represented by,” Boudou said after taking part of the “Cooking politics and other herbs” cycle that Bonafini leads every Tuesday at the ECuNHi.
Regarding Mauricio Macri’s City mayoral bid, Boudou assured he wouldn't run “due to the judicial complaint the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo issued” against him due to his alleged involvement in an illegal wiretapping case.
