CFK picks Filmus-Tomada for BA city mayoral race; official ceremony held today
It has been reported that after weeks of mystery surrounding the subject, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has decided on Senator Daniel Filmus as the ruling Victory Front candidate for the Buenos Aires city mayoral race, with Labour Minister Carlos Tomada as his running mate, official sources said. The announcement will be made official this afternoon from 5PM, where the two favourites will join the President in a special ceremony.
Last night the President held a special meeting at her Olivos residence to confirm her decisión privately to the three pre-candidates, who also included Economy Minister Amado Boudou, who is now out of the Mayor's office candidate selection for the kirchnerist Victory Front party.
The official announcement ceremony and of the list of legislator candidates will be headed by Juan Cabandié and takes place in the ND Ateneo theatre at 5PM.
