Migration services at Ezeiza Airport back to normal
The National Migrations Department at the Ezeiza international airport is once again functioning normally, Interior Ministry sources reported.
Earlier, employees in the Migration Department caught everyone by surprise when they decided to call on a strike. International arrivals and departures had to be delayed because of the measure.
The Migrations Department inspectors affiliated to ATE State Workers' Union met in an assembly this morning, causing long delays at the airport.
Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo informed that “personnel was sent to replace those who in a random and surprising measure abandoned their job posts affecting passengers arriving at the Ezeiza airport."
“It is absurd that a small group of people affected such an important public service to carry out and unjustified claim. Their work conditions have improved substantially,” Randazzo stated.
