Suspect in flare gun death identified in police lineup
The suspect in the flare death is moved by the police.
Ivan Fontán, the main suspect in the death of 32-year old Miguel Ramírez after he was hit in the neck by an emergency flare during a La Renga concert, was identified by a witness in a police lineup, authorities confirmed.
Witness Leonardo Garay was the one who identified Fontán as the man who fired the flare gun.
Judge César Melazo, who’s leading the case, told the press that Fontán will remain in jail since “there’s no time to release him,” although he clarified that a request to do so “is being analyzed.”
Fontán may be accused and charged with negligent homicide.
